Entertaining during the holidays can be a lot of fun, but it can also feel a bit overwhelming. Make it easy on yourself and get a meat and cheese gift basket to keep everyone happy. Simply lay out an abundant spread and let your guests assemble their own combinations of cheese and sausage with their choice of cracker. We suggest adding some mustard into the mix, but these tiny bites will be good either way. Add olives, fruit, nuts and anything else you think goes well together, but don’t go overboard. Keep it simple.

Presentation is key. Everything should look delicious and be easily accessible and understandable. Use your best wooden cutting board to display all the delectable finger foods guests have to choose from. Consider including labels for what you’re serving so people are in the know. Even if you don’t have time to create something fancy, you can carefully tear off a portion of the label and tuck it underneath or nearby. At the very least, be able to let people know what you’re serving. Not everyone likes surprises.

You’re almost done. Slice cheeses, meats and larger elements into small, manageable pieces. Put out spoons or knives for anything you’re serving that can’t be grabbed by hand, and provide small plates or napkins for people to rest their food on. Voila. This party is ready for guests to arrive.
