Ears is a solid chocolate bunny who is nine inches tall and wears a tiny bow tie. He’s one of our favorite Easter traditions, and this year we followed his adventures as he hopped around the Harry & David campus. Things started out well; he visited the flower garden and some of the original pear trees from 1934. The weather was perfect and sunny, and since it wasn’t too hot we weren’t terribly concerned about him melting. After a quick jump on the scale to check his weight (still at ten ounces), he followed his nose, and the aromas of sweet delicious goodies led him to the bakery and candy kitchen.

Ears quickly found himself up to his neck in Moose Munch® Popcorn, pleading that the name be changed to Bunny Munch. We didn’t have the heart to tell him it wasn’t going to happen. And besides, our mouths were full of gourmet caramel popcorn anyway. Ears’ bow tie was damaged in the incident, and our head chocolatier, Charlie, came to the rescue. After a quick touch-up, Ears was back in action and offered to help out in the test kitchen to repay Charlie for his kindness. Needless to say, he wasn’t much help, but everyone enjoyed his company.

Ears will be exploring the buildings and orchards here at Harry & David up until Easter and will likely even hop on over to our flagship store, the Country Village. Follow his path on Pinterest and Instagram using #allears and join the hunt to see all the chocolate Easter bunny pictures we take along the way.
