Hi, Marjorie! We are sorry to hear that your nectarines were slow to ripen. The nectarines will ripen quickly at room temperature, so check them daily until they yield slightly to gentle thumb pressure. I just received a box of luscious looking nectarines, but they are quite hard. Do I need to do something special to them to hasten ripening? I have had your wonderful pears several times, and I ripened them according to the directions. The nectarines are beautiful specimens, but no directions. Certainly, they need some kind of special treatment to ripen them. Please reply. I am quite disappointed with them after enjoying your wonderful pears.
