Entertaining the kids during the busiest days of the year can be a challenge. Christmas morning is especially difficult, when all they can think about is their presents. When I was a kid, we’d open our presents on Christmas Eve, and we all had to eat family dinner at my grandma’s before opening presents. I remember those couple hours waiting to open presents felt like torture. This year, when I host our Christmas brunch, I’m making sure the kids have easy Christmas crafts, holiday snacks, and hot cocoa to entertain them.
Setting up the Christmas Crafts Tablescape

I’m setting up a fun Christmas tablescape for the kids to gather around, with all the activities and snacks set out and ready for them. For the activities, these cute Harry & David printables are perfect for the season. The older kids can challenge themselves with the word search, and kids of all ages can color their ways to the North Pole with Santa and reindeer. For snacks, we’re talking holiday Moose Munch, Christmas cookies and holiday grahams, waffles and cakes, and peppermint bark. A beautiful flower centerpiece completes the tablescape–and don’t forget the hot cocoa!

With the kids happy with snacks and crafts, the adults can sit down to talk and enjoy brunch. You may even want to share some of the kids’ delicious snacks! Or the adults can enjoy some treats of their own, like this holiday buttered rum coffee. Enjoy the easy entertaining, and Merry Christmas!
