The History of the Tower of Treats®
The tower was the idea of co-founder David Holmes. "He imagined a whole tower of beautiful gift boxes filled with delicious food and treats, finished with a hand-tied bow," says Julie Tuter, senior merchandising manager at Harry & David. The gift boxes in the tower that first year were wrapped in an assortment of red and white paper, topped with a large satin bow and a sprig of holly. Back then, the holiday Tower of Treats® was available in two sizes. Today the Holiday Gift is available in four sizes: Signature, Grand, Supreme, and Ultimate. There are also numerous variations, including towers for a multitude of other occasions.
